Onto Sydney! -The lost day - Wednesday 17 June 2009
We flew on Qantas airlines and had a nice flight. I think it was the new airbus – it was a huge double decker plane that dwarfed most of the planes in the international terminal. And all things considered, the flight went pretty well. It was a twilight zone, and you lost all concept of time as you dozed in and out, ate dinner at 5 am east coast time, and gave up figuring out what time it actually was anywhere. I slept some, watched a few movies, and Daniel slept less and played lots of Chrono Trigger on the Nintendo DS light. We boarded at 11:50 pm LA time (mind you that’s nearly 3 in the morning FL time) and then arrived at 7:05am in Sydney. Wednesday disappeared b/c of the international dateline and we found ourselves arriving not later in the day on Wednesday, but Thursday morning instead.
