Day 2 of Diving

We went to bed last night with the knowledge that we would be diving Blue Corner this morning. Blue Corner is the dive site that Daniel has been raving about since we met over nine years ago. He has always said it is like swimming in the world’s largest aquarium. Waking up this morning was a lot like Christmas morning – we were all smiles, giddy, excited, Daniel couldn’t get rid of his ear to ear grin. He’d waited ten years to revisit Blue Corner. …I’d waited nine to see it for myself. We could hardly contain ourselves! …Good news folks – Blue Corner did not disappoint!!! : ) As far as the eye could see…to the left, to the right, above, below was absolutely pristine, beautiful coral, for hundreds of feet in every direction. We hooked into the reef toward the surface and watched the show as school after school of fish swam all around us along with nearly a dozen sharks. There were schools of teal colored trigger fish, 3-4 foot barracuda, as well as many smaller types of fish. We just swam in awe. It was fantastic and genuinely beyond description.
As everyone clambered back onto the skiff, spirits were incredibly high – everyone was raving about the dive, and many were telling Daniel that his “talking up” of Blue Corner was not unfounded. We were content. We got to see what we came for – and! we’re supposed to visit Blue Corner several more times this week!
The other two dives we have done today have been beautiful wall dives – we’ve seen quite a few turtles, more sharks, more nudibranchs, beautiful, healthy coral, and many many more things. So far? We’re having a fantastic time, have made friends with many of the divers, and are starting to really sink into the eat-sleep-dive routine.

I can't wait to see all the pictures that I know you both have taken! I hope the rest of your diving days were as fun as these first two!
