Grodig, Austria -- June 20, 2008

Okay! I am making this one quick! :) We are currently in Grodig, Austria -- a suburb just outside of Salzburg. We are staying in a positively delightful little lodge called Sallerof and have far more comfortable digs than we ever could have afforded in Salzburg. Tomorrow we are going on the Sound of Music tour, spending our afternoon wandering the streets of Salzburg, and are then off to a Mozart dinner and concert in the Hohensalzburg fortress! :) Very very very excited!

Once we actually made it out to Grodig today we decided to spend our afternoon exploring this little town -- very quaint and pretty. Our major expedition of the afternoon was a really neat cable car ride up the side of the nearest peak -- which had a fabulous panorama view of the nearby mountains and villages!

That's all for now -- we've tried to update as much as we could tonight. We're going incommunicado as we head into Croatia. Til then --

Hey Beth and Daniel,

I am really enjoying reading your blog and keeping up with your travels -- many of which are quite familiar to us. :) Most significantly, we stayed at the Sallerhof in Grodig, Austria in 2002 with Klaus. :) Wow -- that's quite a coincidence. Wishing you well for more great travels -- keep the updates coming.
